We are building a radically collaborative movement of visionaries, creators, thinkers, and makers that bring to bear an array of expertise and perspectives on how to integrate wisdom and artificial intelligence. We explicitly aim at reducing suffering and enhancing flourishing on scales ranging from the intimacy of individual and relational experiences to the ways societies organize and operate. Core to our aim is solving the depth deficit between surface level endeavors and rhetoric about the potential of positive artificial intelligence on the one hand and the transformative power of soteriological wisdom traditions on the other. We plan to do this by bringing the most dynamic, compelling, and creative people in their respective fields into sustained, generative collaboration

We are focused on three initiatives:

1. Conference

In Spring of 2025 we will be hosting the first annual Artificial Wisdom Conference in the San Francisco Bay Area. We will bring together luminaries from both academia and industry to explore the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Wisdom, contemplative traditions, ethics, human flourishing, and much more.

2. Framework

To maximally support the creation of wise and beneficial AI we believe a conceptual framework drawn from the best thought, design and technical knowledge is vital. Through interviews, research, and collaboration we will generate a framework for understanding the idea space of Artificial Wisdom along with design guidelines for organizations seeking to research or develop wise AI systems.

3. Network

The space of Artificial Wisdom is multi-disciplined and spans AI research, product development, healthcare, philosophy, ethics, and wisdom traditions. We will create a professional network of leading thinkers and makers across these disciplines in order to maximize collaboration and accelerate development of wise AI systems.
